Keep your pipeline warm before January

A six-week pre-season campaign that books appointments without posting every day.

Keep your pipeline warm before January

The preparers who are booked solid in February started marketing in November. You don’t need daily content. You need a short, consistent campaign aimed at the people who already know you.

The six-week plan

WeekEmailSocial
1 (mid-Nov)“What’s changing for your 2026 return”1 post: tips/overtime explainer
2Year-end moves (retirement, charitable, estimated tax)1 post: deadline reminder
3Holiday thank-you, no pitch1 post: behind the scenes
4 (early Jan)Booking opens + early-bird pricing2 posts: booking link
5“What to bring” checklist1 post: document list
6Last call for early-bird1 post: testimonial

That’s six emails and seven posts in six weeks, about two hours a week.

The numbers to expect

With a list of 400 past clients and contacts, a 40% open rate and 8% booking from the opens works out to about 13 early bookings per email. Over the three booking emails, that’s roughly 35–40 appointments on the calendar before February.

Stay compliant

  • Under Section 7216, you may use client information to offer tax return preparation to existing clients. Marketing other services needs signed consent.
  • Include an unsubscribe link and your physical address (CAN-SPAM).
  • Get written consent before marketing by text message.
